PRESS: Sanctioned Deripaska refuses state support due to bad terms

MOSCOW, Jul 2 (PRIME) -- Russian businessman Oleg Deripaska, who was included in a sanctions list by the U.S. earlier this year, has turned down the support of Promsvyazbank due to unfavorable lending conditions, Vedomosti business daily reported on June 30.

“Oleg Deripaska has refused state lending via Promsvyazbank. The lending conditions, offered by the state bank, including the rate, were unacceptable,” the daily reported quoting Deripaska’s representative.

A representative of Deripaska’s aluminum giant UC RUSAL confirmed the information. He added that the conditions were worse than the market conditions.

Promsvyazbank declined to comment.
